LEGO Creator Limited Edition Hillside House Building Set #5771 - Perfect for Collectors, Creative Play & Home Decor

My wife and I spent some time on different parts of this build; i put most of it together, then she finished off the second floor/roof section.. :) As with the 5770 set, this was a fun build with the same complaints: 'hard-to-find' and Prestige for delivery..This time however, Prestige did not even bother to try dropping it off at our apartment building; for whatever reason, the driver dropped it off at the complex office. I only found out it was 'delivered' after my wife checked Amazon.com and noticing that at 7:30pm or so, the site said it was delivered at 1:00pm and she found a toll-free number for Prestige here in West Michigan; after calling them and finding out that the driver dropped it off at the complex office were we able to get it the next business day.Again, a fun build, just don't like the 'hoops' we went through to get it - this time I point the finger at Prestige...I miss lego's from when I was a kid where you could build a bunch of different items from the lego package. Lego's today are just so predertimed that all of the creativity has been sucked out. My kid liked putting it together. But then he's done and has no more use for it. Seems like a bit of a waste. The product itself is fine, its just that its replay value is nil and all it teaches is to follow directions perfectly.We have many lego homes, this one worked out very well. My son did do some "Add-ons" to this and it looks great. Believe I purchased in Nov 2011 for $73.It’s for my grandson , no comment from memy son loves this lego I recommend it because it is very creative.He said is very awesome and He can builds in more than one way.Justo lo que esperaba, el producto es 100% recomendable, para un pequeño es de lo mejor. The product was reasonably priced for a limited edition set that is no longer available from Lego and was in good condition.Not that Legos need a review; always a big hit with the grandchildren, but the 3 in 1 set is a brilliant idea.Lego creator sets are the best way to buy lego sets. Each set allows you to use the bricks in three different designs. BUT you can't build them all at the same time of course. But it's well done. Easy to follow step by step instructions. Impatient kids may need to build over several days OR build alongside another child or adult as a team.Me and the children absolutely love lego and this house was fantastic to build and then also great fun to play with. we are 99% happy with it but unfortunately there were two pieces missing so we haven't been able to complete the roof! However as we love lego so much we haven't allowed it to spoil our fun!Absolutely beautiful work of art. This item is definitely well worth the money, my children (and fiancee) love it, there's so many tiny pieces inside that it looks like a real house, so incredibly detailed and a good size. Delivery was fast as stated also!happy with product and the delivery - fun to build and rebuild the other designs - may have paid a bit more than rrp but seems you have to with lego when out of initial production monthsIt's an excellent Lego product. Although a bit hard to build, you need a more experienced Lego fan to put the pieces together. Great for boys and girls!
